Q Media: Audio Tour Experts

Delivering your goals, to your visitors, within your budget.

About Stasha and Mike

Stasha Boyd and Michael Lutz are the driving force of Q Media productions. What we do is special and very specialized. In fact, there are only a handful of people in the US dedicated to audio tour production and for many it is a side-line, something they do while they’re waiting to do something else. Not us. Not only are audio tours what we do, audio tours are what we want to do.

The easiest way to explain it is Stasha’s specialty is front-end creative development (e.g. goal setting and development, script writing, budgets, scheduling, legal/financial issues, casting, directing, creative problem solving) and Mike’s is back-end, creative technical, and delivery (e.g. recording, editing, mixing, mastering, hardware types and suitability, technical problem solving.)

Another way of putting it is that Stasha is in promises and Mike is in delivery.

Stasha has written, co-written, directed, and/or produced every Q Media project since our inception in 2002. She holds a BA in Theatre from  Florida State University and an MA in Human Resources from Rollins College, specializing in group dynamics and conflict resolution. Some days she’s not sure which degree serves her better when serving the clients.

Michael has recorded and engineered every project since we started the Q Media endeavor. In addition to vast technical knowledge, skills, and expertise, he has almost super-human hearing. He holds a BS in Recording Industry Management from Middle Tennessee State University. As the production and post-production specialist, Mike ensures that all of the technical elements combine seamlessly to deliver an outstanding production.

On a more personal note, Mike and Stasha are museum mad. Even before the idea of Q Media was born, we spent our free time at museums, galleries, parks, and the like. Now our work life and home life are completely in synch — well, as in synch as any two people who are together 24/7 can be. Whenever possible, while traveling about visiting clients we try to spend an extra day or three exploring whatever region of the world we find ourselves in. We are avid motorcycling enthusiasts (1983 Yamaha Maxim), bicycle riders, and explorers. In addition, Mike is an accomplished musician and plays gigs with his band Uncle Jr. Though work limits her availability to take to the stage these days, Stasha is an accomplished actress and director. She is also a fitness and karate buff (currently a Blue belt) as well as a fiction and non-fiction writer.

We (Mike and Stasha) are a seamless team, whose combined experience, committment, and passion helps our clients create and deliver outstanding audio programs. It’s true we are a small business, not a huge corporate machine. Our work and committment to what we do and who we do it for is personal. We are proud of what we do. And we are very, very good at it.
